Damage Prevention Services
Chenault Consulting Inc.'s Damage Prevention Team partners with clients to manage One-Call "811" requests and reliably locate underground utilities — prior to any excavation — to prevent costly strikes, ensure safety, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Safety & Compliance
Proper locating and marking significantly reduce the risk of excavation accidents, utility strikes, and associated injuries or outages.
We ensure full alignment with federal, state, and CGA standards, helping clients stay compliant with One-Call (811) protocols, APWA color coding, and damage-prevention regulations.
Precise Underground Utility Locating
Using advanced locators (electromagnetic, GPR), we identify underground lines for gas, electric, water, telecom, and sewer up to their meter or service boundary — and trace private lines beyond the meter, including irrigation systems, building connections, lighting, and drain systems.
We apply APWA-standard flags, spray paint, and durable Carsonite composite markers — color-coded to match APWA standards — so operators and excavators can easily identify and avoid critical infrastructure.
Field Verification & Documentation
Every locate is accompanied by on-site accuracy inspections, comprehensive technician field notes, and high-resolution photographic documentation of flag placements, paint markings, and surrounding landmarks.
Field notes, photos, map scans, and GPS data are compiled into a digital Locate Report that follows Common Ground Alliance best practices — an audit-ready reference for compliance, future excavations, and stakeholder records.
